The hole size is the decision, not the shape

What actually decides compatibility

Hydra is 3"×3" tubing with ⅝" holes; Manticore is 3"×3" with 1" holes; the 2.3"×2.3" range is its own smaller system. Most attachments are offered for both 3"×3" lines — of the 37 whose fit we've confirmed, 25 go on either. The exceptions are what catch people, and they lean one way: 9 are Hydra-only against 3 Manticore-only. Shape — half rack, 4-post, folding — changes what fits far less than the line does, which is why the picker asks for the line first.

Which system to join

3"×3" takes the full attachment range and is what both premium lines are built from. 2.3"×2.3" is lighter and cheaper, a real rack with a narrower set of things that bolt on — and the range people rate most. The rack is the cheap part of this decision. What you bolt to it over the next five years is not.

I already own a rack — how do I know what fits it?

Measure a hole. ⅝" holes on 3"×3" tubing is a Hydra; 1" holes on 3"×3" is a Manticore. Set both in the rack picker under Filter & Sort and the attachments and components narrow to what bolts on. Anything we haven't confirmed is shown separately rather than hidden.

What's the difference between an attachment and a component?

An attachment adds a capability — a lat tower, dip bars, storage. A component is part of the frame itself: uprights, crossmembers, feet. You buy an attachment to do something new, and a component to extend or repair what you have.

What's the difference between 3"×3" and 2.3"×2.3" tubing?

3"×3" is the platform the full attachment range is built for. 2.3"×2.3" is lighter and more affordable, with a narrower range of attachments — a rock-solid rack if you don't need the whole ecosystem.
