Product Details
Like a mullet haircut, the 6 Post Power Rack is all business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back.
Its 1,000-pound capacity outlasts heavy squats, handles big bench presses and withstands chin-ups with 8 kids hanging onto your waist. The uprights measure true 3" x 3" which is EXACTLY 76.2mm x 76.2mm, instead of the typical 75mm x 75mm uprights of other brands' imported racks.
By matching the same tubing specs as many of our American competitors, you can mix and match attachments freely without needing to stick to one brand - hello, open ecosystem! You can even side-mount your 5/8" attachments (as long as they're destined for true 3" x 3" tubing) using the side keyhole slots; perfect if you prefer the more economical Hydra rack attachments, now that's a fairy tale come true! Built with modular components, so you can expand later with Manticore components or divide it into two smaller Manticore racks to accommodate a new home gym space or team workouts with your swolemate.
Compatible with all Manticore rack attachments, like the hyper-versatile Manticore Lat Pulldown.
IMPORTANT: The Manticore series of power racks are TRUE 3" x 3" tubing with 1-inch holes, so only Manticore attachments & non-B.o.S. attachments made precisely for 76.2mm x 76.2mm uprights with 1-inch holes will fit.

Absolutely love the Bells of Steel Manticore Six Post Rack. I had the Rep PR-1100 prior to upgrading and this was a SERIOUS upgrade. I even had a Rogue Monster Rack and decided to sell it and build off of this rack instead. All the attachments are great and the packaging arrived without any issues. The rack is solid and will last for many years to come I’m sure.

I bought the 6-post Manticore, 72 inch height on presale. It is a significant upgrade from my previous 2x2 rack. The boxes arrived in good shape, and it was easy to assemble (mostly) on my own. I’m really happy with my purchase.
It’s not easy to find a 3x3 rack that will fit in a basement with low ceilings (78 inches or less), so it’s great that BoS hasn’t ignored those of us with basement gyms.
Some of the pieces had some extra coating (black sand essentially), so watch out when taking the plastic wrap off. I just rubbed them gently with the plastic to avoid making a mess. Also, don’t be a dolt like me and peel the protective plastic off any of the protective pads before installing.

First of all, a shout-out to the BOS customer service team. They are a friendly and helpful group to work with. Placed a large order online with many pieces and they communicated and shipped as we needed during our home gym build.
We LOVE this rack. It is truly a beast. Built well with tremendous accuracy. This six post rack looked daunting to assemble, but it was very easy. Everything lines up perfectly. As you can see from the photos, this is truly a 3x3 rack because a well-known competitor's accessories fit exactly like they are made for this rack. We have several BOS and competitor attachments. Without the branding, you would think these were all made specifically for this rack.
Highly recommend you consider this Manticore when looking at racks. With this type of quality at this price point, there is simply nothing better on the market for a true 3x3.
We also purchased the BOS functional trainer with weight stacks (right side of the photo). Another wonderful product! A little more effort to assemble compared to the rack but well worth the effort! We love this piece of equipment too. Full review coming on that product page soon.

The rack itself is very sturdy. I’m glad I bought it but some of the packaging was in bad shape. One of the foot stabilizer had a broken section, one of crossmembers had rust on it, and the dip attachment box was falling apart. The pin in the dip attachment box was missing because the box was in such bad shape. Bells did respond quickly but it is going to take weeks to get the replacements. I hope they improve their packaging. I have bought other products that came in good condition.
