It's been a staple in bodybuilding for over a century for its effectiveness and versatility in building lean, defined muscle with that wiry, natural look.
Built for progression, this steel contraption has 7 springs with carabiner attachments, so you can remove or double up springs, adjusting the tension to suit your goals and experience level. When fully stretched, each spring provides 20lbs of resistance.
Beginners and pros alike can use this for curls, flyes, and rows or attach to a fixed point for presses. Grab two for even more versatility (shameless upsell!)
The chest expander offers consistent tension throughout the movement regardless of how many springs are attached, making it optimal over bands for bodybuilding.
The design hasn't changed much over the past century because it hasn't needed to, but we've thrown on rotating handles and knurling for that cherry on top of a swole sundae.
Watch your arm hair, though—and if you see Kaevon walking around looking smoother than a baby porpoise, mind your business.
IMPORTANT: Use a minimum of two springs on opposing ends of the handles to avoid over-stretching them. The warranty on the springs is 3 months, as they are considered a perishable item.

Everyone should own a chest expander, and this is a high quality one. I’ve had it for about a week and I really like the smooth high quality handles and the strong springs. It’s already been a great addition to my at home strength training routine. It has many uses for the upper body, whether you are using it for warmups or as a main piece of equipment. I purchased this chest expander about two months ago. I have never owned such a well made, versatile piece of equipment. It feels heavy duty in your hands and comfortable on your wrists with the metal rotating handles. The pumps have been unreal. I have never worked with a chest expander before, but it’s hard to imagine any on the market being better than bells of steel’s. I talked a couple of my friends into picking one up too for when they’re traveling and can’t access the gym. They both raved about it. Really top notch work from these guys. I can only get to the gym two to three days a week. Thanks to this piece of equipment, I can still work arms from home. It’s so awesome to get a good arm workout in the living room or backyard now that the weather is getting nice. If you’re even considering getting one of these, just do it. American made solid steel that will absolutely blow up your upper body. Thank you so much to the guys at bells of steel, you’re doing awesome work 👍
