The Flat Foot Power Rack is where classic design and rock-solid stability team up with a chalky fist bump of swoleship.
Its 1,000-pound capacity outlasts heavy squats, handles big bench presses and withstands chin-ups with 8 kids hanging onto your waist. The uprights measure true 3" x 3" which is EXACTLY 76.2mm x 76.2mm, instead of the typical 75mm x 75mm uprights of other brands' imported racks.
By matching the same tubing specs as many of our American competitors, you can mix and match attachments freely without needing to stick to one brand - hello, open ecosystem! Built with modular components, so you can expand later with Hydra components or divide it into two smaller Hydra racks to accommodate a new home gym space or team workouts with your swolemate. Compatible with all Hydra rack attachments, like the hyper-versatile Hydra Lat Pulldown.
IMPORTANT: The Hydra series of power racks are TRUE 3" x 3" tubing with 5/8" holes, so only Hydra attachments & non-B.o.S. attachments made precisely for 76.2mm x 76.2mm uprights with 5/8" holes will fit.

I sold my Rogue RML-490 to replace with the Hydra. Mostly because I wanted a rack with shorter uprights and smaller crossbeams to save space and I really loved the light blue glossy finish. There were some issues with the powder coat not fully covering the crossmembers (see pics) and one of the uprights had a number that wasn't completely cut out, which is fine, honestly. What I dislike the most about this rack however is just how easily the paint coat scratches off. I purchased a pair of the spotter arms safeties with these and they fit extremely snug on the uprights. Unfortunately, they also have sharp edges and hardened weld/paint blobs that scratch up the paint finish of the rack significantly from regular use. I imagine this quality issue with the glossy paint is why they are switching over to a textured matte finish for the colours. I do like the rack though and for the price you really can't go wrong. I'll just have to accept that the gloss finish is going to get extremely scratched up over time. It would be nice if BoS would start putting UHMW lining on their rack attachments to help prevent this though.

We are switching to a textured matte to hopefully solve this and will also look at adding more UHMW to our accessories. I picked up a new Hydra flat foot rack, plate loading cable tower, multiple accessories and some additional weights. Easy to assemble and looks to be very well built and HD enough to meet my needs. I needed to upgrade my old equipment to something that could handle the higher weight levels in my training. This equipment looks to be ready for the test, time will tell. I already had some BOS gear but I'm sure I will be adding more of the BOS equipment to my home gym in the future.

We love our hydra rack in our gym. It looks sleek, is very solid, and very multipurpose. It has enough space so you can use the outside and inside at the same time. It's also great that the holes for adjusting the bar height are close together, and even closer together in the bench zone for exact bar placement. We also loved how many options we had when choosing the safely straps, pull up bar, etc. The website was easy to use when ordering and shipping was fast and efficient. Great customer service too! Overall, this is a fantastic and very high-quality build. Great value and is extremely customizable. For those looking for a commercial quality rack, I highly reccomend this one for the price (rouge quality with a much lower price). While there are a lot of great racks on the market, I'd say this stands out due to its versatility, including the many attachments available from BoS. I have a few already and will likely buy more. Would definitely purchase again.

I ordered the hydra free standing power rack to replace my Rogue SML-2C rack. I am a long time Rogue customer and thought of giving BOS a try after seeing a review on Garage Gym Reviews. The quality of the rack is outstanding. There were no burrs, assembly was straight forward, all holes aligned perfectly, powder coating was perfect and was surprised how stable the rack was without it bolted down. The accessories fit perfect (J-cups, safety straps etc) . Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. However, I gave it a four star review for the following reasons: First, ordering was confusing as BOS has both US and Canadian websites. If you order from the Canadian site (which I did first) it will not allow you to select the US as a shipping destination, you have to go to the US site to order. It would have been nice to have the website automatically redirect you. Second, after waiting for a few days I didn't get any info about the shipping of my order. I tried to call customer service by phone and kept getting stuck in an automated loop. I then sent an email inquiring about my order and they responded in the next day and my order went out shortly thereafter. Third, I received an extra 3x2 cross member that did not fit the power rack and I deduced it was in case I wanted to set it up like a squat stand. I also got a lot of extra hardware. I would have liked to exclude this and had a cheaper price. I guess it wasn't clear on the ordering because you have to order everything a la…
