As a budding home gym owner, I started with a bar that was inexpensive and seemed to fit the constraints of my space. After a year or, I realized I wanted something with more grippanle knurling and full weight, which is where the hydra bar entered the scene. Now when a lift is uneven, I'm confident that I am the problem, not that I'm uncentered on the bar. Plus, to be frank? The colors are fun. The knurling is grippy without shredding my office-worker hands, the bearings move smoothly and the finishes are good. I'm overall pretty pleased with the addition, even as it makes navigating the basement a little more complicated.

I decided to pull the trigger and upgrade my old barbell. It was a decent bar but had minimal knurling and because I am old, had a hard time seeing, or even feeling the rings it had for lifting.
I am a novice lifter folks, but I love this bar. Knurling is perfect. Excellent grip but doesn't chew you up. The rings are excellent easy to see, easy to feel. I especially appreciate the center ring, I had a tendancy to lose the middle of my old bar and lifted all wacky because of it. I bought the color version cause I think it looks dope, and there is no room for error for whatever lift you want to do. Veteran lifters will might shake their heads at the rings, the color, the center ring, but for me it makes a big difference.
Great solid bar, great spin, great collars (ribbed, which I dont mind at all). I'm a fan boy now.....the video of it is just as I unpacked it. No issues and was in perfect condition as it was packaged very well.

Great bar for ensuring you’re gripping in the same place each time. I do wish the knirling in the middle is less aggressive for when im swuatting but thats more of a personal preference
