My husband and I both wanted a thicker mat for stretching and mobility exercises as we were finding our knees grinding into the floor when just using our yoga mats.
These trifold mats are very comfortable and the thickness is enough that we feel no discomfort on the floor now. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that I wish they were a bit wider for exercises like hip 90-90’s, frog pose, etc. Since we bought 2, I typically just lay them side by side for any exercises that need greater width.

I picked this up to replace a very cheap yoga mat I was using for awhile. It wasn't the worst, but it wasn't very thick either. This thing though, it is VERY thick. I am very surprised by how soft and comfy it is. I think I could take this thing camping and use it as a sleeping pad honestly, it is very comfy!
One thing I was a bit nervous about was the smell. When purchasing stuff like this, sometimes you open it and it has that intense factory rubber smell. I have my gym in my living room right next to my bedroom, so those smells are pretty rough for me. This thing does not have any smell at all though! If you press your nose against it, sure it has a bit of that clean new smell, but it's not noticeable at all. I know a lot of people don't care about this, but some people do, so I feel like mentioning it.
The mat folds out nicely, and there is very little space between the folds, making it a pretty even surface. Honestly I'm not sure what else to say about it. It's thick, it's soft and squishy, the material is decently grippy, might get a bit slippery if you sweat a lot though. Overall yeah, it's just a great mat!

It’s a great mat. I am 300lbs and doing a plank with my elbows digging into the mat was comfortable and the mat recovered quickly.
