“The footprint is tiny but it does an incredible amount of exercises!” — Bud T.

The Bells of Steel Cable Tower packs the punch of a full commercial setup into a compact 2.5’ × 2.5’ footprint — proof that big gainz don’t need big space.

  • Serious versatility → 30+ height settings and 100+ exercise options — replacing up to six machines in one compact unit.
  • Dual-handle design → Do bilateral or single-arm moves most towers can’t — like cable flyes, rear delt raises, and full-ROM face pulls.
  • Full weight feel → Most cable machines cut the weight in half. With our 1:1 adapter, the stack weight is the real weight you lift.
  • Expandable design → Works with 2.3” × 2.3” Bells of Steel attachments like the Y-Dip, Seal Row Pad, and Landmine for even more variety.
  • Built to last → 14-gauge steel frame, smooth pulleys, and heavy-duty cables tough enough to outlast your PR streak.
  • Two styles, same performance → Plate-Loaded keeps costs low and biceps high; Weight-Stack gives you fast, pin-loaded convenience.
  • Mount it your way → Wall, floor, or rack — fits any setup from apartment nooks to short basements to full garage gyms.

Why Cable Towers?

Because a cable tower lets you train every muscle safely and smoothly in one compact machine that replaces half your gym.

  • Constant tension → Smooth resistance through every inch for better muscle activation (and a pump you actually feel).
  • Joint-friendly training → Build strength without beating up your shoulders, elbows, or wrists.
  • Time efficient → Hit every muscle without cumbersome setup and teardown,
  • All-levels friendly → Perfect for beginners learning form or seasoned lifters fine-tuning accessories.

They’re the secret weapon of smart home gyms — and you only need one.

Product Features

  • Compact Footprint, Full-Body Capability

Fits into a footprint under 2.5' × 2.5' while offering the same full-body training that most cable towers require 3–4 times the space to deliver. Perfect for home gyms with limited square footage.

  • 30+ Precision Height Settings

Over 30 adjustment positions, with numbered markings every five holes, give you unmatched adjustability compared to typical towers. This ensures consistent setups every session.

  • Dual Pull Ratios (2:1 & 1:1)

Use the default 2:1 ratio for faster, controlled movements or connect the dual cables with the 2-to-1 Cable Adapter to unlock a 1:1 pull for heavy strength training. One tower covers the needs of two machine types.

  • Selectorized or Plate-Loaded Options

Choose a 210 lb selectorized stack for fast pin changes or go plate-loaded for up to 250lbs and maximum value. Both versions offer the same smooth mechanics and compact footprint.

  • Consistently Smooth Cable Travel

Premium pulleys and cable routing deliver a smooth, quiet pull with every rep. Many users describe it as the “commercial feel” in their home gym.

  • Mounting Flexibility (Rack, Wall, or Floor)

Mount it to your wall, bolt it to the floor, or connect it to your rack depending on your setup. This flexibility lets the tower adapt to your space—not the other way around.

  • Attachment-Friendly for Endless Variety

Works with standard handles, ropes, bars, and specialty attachments that use a carabiner. Expand your training possibilities without investing in proprietary accessories.

  • Fast Transitions Between High and Low Movements

Switch positions quickly thanks to the smooth trolley and clean cable path. Ideal for supersets, circuits, and time-efficient training.

  • Engineered Value Without Compromise

Delivers premium build quality, advanced adjustability, and dual-ratio performance at a price far below oversized commercial towers. It’s the highest-value cable system for serious home gyms.

Overview

The Bells of Steel Cable Tower delivers full cable-machine functionality in a compact footprint under 2.5' × 2.5'—making it one of the most space-efficient cable systems available. With 30+ height settings, dual pull ratios (2:1 and 1:1), and your choice of plate-loaded or 210 lb selectorized stack, it's designed to give you commercial-level versatility without the size or cost of traditional cable machines.

Why a Cable Tower Belongs in Your Gym

Cable machines are one of the most versatile pieces of strength equipment you can own. Unlike fixed-path machines or barbells alone, cable systems allow for constant tension, free movement patterns, and joint-friendly resistance.

The Cable Tower brings these benefits into a format designed specifically for home gyms—where space, flexibility, and value matter most.

Whether you're training for strength, hypertrophy, rehab, or general fitness, a cable tower unlocks movements that are difficult or impossible to replicate with free weights alone.

Built for Real Home Gym Constraints

Many cable machines are designed for commercial gyms—large, heavy, and space-intensive. That's not practical for most home setups.

The Bells of Steel Cable Tower is engineered differently.

  • Compact footprint (~2.5' × 2.5') fits in tight spaces
  • Multiple mounting options (rack, wall, or floor) adapt to your layout
  • Low-profile design works in basements and garages

Instead of designing your gym around the machine, this machine fits into your gym.

Precision Adjustability

One of the biggest limitations of many cable machines is limited adjustability. Fewer height settings mean compromised angles, awkward positioning, and less effective movements.

With 30+ clearly numbered height settings, the Cable Tower allows you to:

  • Dial in precise joint angles
  • Maintain consistent setup between sessions
  • Perform a wider range of exercises correctly

This level of adjustability is typically found in higher-end commercial machines, but rarely in compact home gym towers.

Who It's For

Beginners
Smooth resistance, lighter loading options, and adjustable angles make it easy to learn proper form safely.

Intermediate Lifters
Supports structured programming with consistent setups and a wide range of accessory movements.

Advanced Athletes
1:1 heavy pulls, precise angles, and upgrade options make it ideal for targeted strength and hypertrophy work.

Small-Space Home Gym Owners
Perfect for garages, basements, apartments, and multi-use rooms thanks to its compact footprint.

Coaches & Trainers
Delivers the versatility of multiple cable machines without requiring the space or cost of a full commercial setup.

Designed to Grow With Your Gym

The Cable Tower isn't a one-dimensional machine—it's a foundation piece.

  • Compatible with standard cable attachments
  • Works alongside rack attachments and accessories
  • Supports progression from beginner to advanced training

As your training evolves, the Cable Tower adapts with you—so you won't outgrow it.

Choose the Right Loading Style

Selectorized Weight Stack (210 lb)

  • Fast, convenient pin adjustments
  • Ideal for circuits, supersets, and shared use
  • Clean and efficient workflow

Plate-Loaded Version

  • Unlimited loading potential
  • Lower upfront cost
  • Ideal for users who already own plates

Both options use the same core system, footprint, and adjustability—so your choice comes down to preference, not limitations.

Exercise Variety

Upper Body

  • Lat pulldown
  • Seated cable row
  • Face pull
  • Triceps pushdown
  • Cable curl
  • Chest fly (high, mid, low)
  • Lateral raise
  • Straight-arm pulldown

Lower Body

  • Cable pull-through
  • Romanian deadlift
  • Split squat
  • Glute kickback
  • Cable hamstring curl
  • Hip abduction/adduction

Core

  • Cable crunch
  • Pallof press
  • Woodchopper (high-to-low / low-to-high)
  • Anti-rotation holds

Functional / Athletic

  • Cable punches
  • Rotational presses
  • Resistance walkouts

This versatility is why many lifters consider a cable tower one of the most-used pieces in their gym.

Dual Pull Ratios

Not all cable systems feel the same—and pull ratio plays a huge role in how they perform.

The Cable Tower gives you both:

  • 2:1 Ratio → smoother, lighter resistance for accessory work
  • 1:1 Ratio (with adapter) → full resistance for heavy lifts

This means you can move seamlessly between high-rep accessory work, isolation movements, and heavy strength-focused exercises. Instead of needing multiple machines, you get a full spectrum of resistance in one system.

Smooth Cable Feel

A cable machine is only as good as how it feels during use.

The Cable Tower is designed to deliver smooth pulley rotation, consistent cable tension, and minimal friction during movement. Combined with its rigid frame (when properly mounted), this creates a training experience users often describe as "commercial-feel" in a home gym setup.

For those looking to further refine performance, optional upgrades (like aluminum pulleys) can enhance smoothness even more.

Most affordable I could find, small footprint

This is a great machine with an unbeatable price. Suits my small space.

It needs to be secured and looks to have been designed to be bolted to a board that's secured to the wall but I found some metal brackets and screwed it directly into the stud with three 3" screws on the top bracket and another three on the bottom bracket. Looks janky but it's secure. I would have liked if the instructions included more info on how to mount it.

    GOAT

I’ve owned two cable towers from different companies before selling them and picking this one up—and it’s been my favorite by a long shot.

This tower apart is the variety of attachments, multiple options, which are actually creative and useful, unlike other brands.

Assembly was straightforward, everything came together smoothly, and the tower itself operates super smooth and solid. I couldn’t be happier with how it performs.

This is my second purchase from Bells of Steel, and every experience I’ve had with them—from ordering and shipping to assembly, build quality, and interactions—has been consistently great.

For some context, I used to weigh over 550 lbs and have lost more than 300 lbs. Now I’m working toward getting into bodybuilding, and like a lot of people, my home gym is always evolving to match my goals. This tower fits perfectly into that process.

I’m already planning to get a second tower to link together and replace my current rack setup, and I’m looking forward to eventually transitioning most—if not all—of my gym equipment over to Bells of Steel.

Also, check out their videos on social media and watch all the clever ways you can use this tower (leg extensions AND leg presss?!?)))

    Good product

Purchased the cable tower ( plate loaded) and so far am pleased with it . Upgraded to aluminum pulleys and bolted it to the wall. Everything is smooth and seems well made. I only wish it were a little taller because doing tricep push downs has a little slack in it for my height but that is nit picking . Would recommend it for the quality , the price , and the very quick shipping from bells of steel . Very happy with the bells of steel and their follow ups making sure I am happy with my product . Thank you

    Hey Carey,

Thank you for the detailed review and for choosing our plate loaded Cable Tower!

We are pumped to hear you are pleased with it so far and that you went with the aluminum pulley upgrade. Smooth action and solid build quality is exactly what we aim for. Bolting it to the wall is a pro move too.

We appreciate you calling out the height note for tricep push downs. That kind of real world feedback helps a ton, and we are glad it is more of a small nit pick than a deal breaker.

Quality, price, and quick shipping all getting a shoutout? That is what we love to hear. And our team will be fired up knowing the follow ups made a difference.

Thanks again for the support and for taking the time to share your experience.

Yours in strength, The B.o.S. Crew.

    Cable Tower

Over the past few years, I have been steadily building my home gym, and my experience with Bells of Steel equipment has been exceptional from start to finish.

About two years ago, after researching different options online, I discovered Bells of Steel and decided to purchase the Plate-Loaded Cable Tower. Since I already owned weight plates, this option made perfect sense. What initially drew me in was the tower’s compact footprint, clean aesthetic design, and the impressive range of exercises it allowed me to perform. At the time, it became a cornerstone piece that significantly expanded the capabilities of my home gym.

After several months of consistent use, I realized that adding a second identical tower would unlock even greater training versatility. The dual tower setup allows me to perform movements such as cable fly variations and other bilateral cable exercises much more effectively. It also allowed me to remove my squat rack, which freed up valuable space in my basement while maintaining — and honestly improving — my overall training options.

I also purchased the Nemesis Arc Bar, which has been a complete game changer for me. Shoulder discomfort that I previously experienced during pressing movements has essentially disappeared. Because of this, I now rarely use a traditional straight bar for bench press or shoulder press exercises.

Assembly of the towers was straightforward and user-friendly, which is something I genuinely appreciated. From a usability…

    Patrick,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this and for trusting us with your home gym journey. The fact that this is the first product review you have ever written makes it mean even more to our team.

We love hearing how your Plate Loaded Cable Towers evolved from one cornerstone piece into a dual tower setup that completely transformed your space. Freeing up room by removing the squat rack while expanding your training options is exactly the kind of versatility we aim for. From cable fly variations to benching with J cups and safeties, that is a serious setup.

We are especially pumped that the Nemesis Arc Bar eliminated your shoulder discomfort. Training pain free is everything, and knowing it changed the way you press is a huge win.

Your point about consistency really hits home. Being able to get efficient 30 to 45 minute workouts in while balancing work and family is what home gyms are all about.

We also appreciate you noticing the improvements to the newer cable handles and your thoughtful suggestion about numbered adjustment holes. That kind of feedback helps us keep getting better.

Two years in with zero mechanical issues and a 10 out of 10 rating. That is what we strive for. Thank you for recommending us and for believing in what we do.

    Yours in strength,

    The B.o.S. Crew.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the dimensions of the Cable Tower, and will it fit in a home gym?

The Cable Tower has a compact footprint of 28.5" x 21" (72.4 x 53.3 cm) at the base and stands 80.75" (205 cm) tall, making it suitable for most garage gyms, basements, and spare rooms. Its relatively small base helps maximize usable space while still offering a full range of motion. Always confirm ceiling height, especially if installing on stall mats.

What is the weight stack capacity?

The Weight Stack Cable Tower includes a 210 lb (95 kg) weight stack, which provides smooth, consistent resistance for a wide range of upper- and lower-body movements. This is suitable for most accessory work, bodybuilding, rehab-style training, and general strength development. For advanced lifters, the resistance can be increased using slower tempos or single-arm variations.

Is the Cable Tower adjustable?

Yes, the upright features 30+ height adjustments, allowing you to position the pulley for exercises like lat pulldowns, triceps pushdowns, cable curls, rows, and more. The adjustable trolley makes it versatile for users of different heights and a variety of training styles. This flexibility makes it a strong fit for both beginners and experienced lifters.

What attachments are included with the Cable Tower?

The Cable Tower comes with two Nylon Adjustable Handles, so you can start training right out of the box. Additional cable attachments can be added for more exercise variety.

Does the Cable Tower need to be bolted down?

For optimal stability and safety, bolting the unit to the wall, floor, or a rack is recommended. This is especially important if you plan to perform heavy lat pulldowns or dynamic movements. We recommend using the back upright for extra stability if floor mounting. If you mount the cable tower to a rack or the wall, you don't need to bolt it to the floor.

What hardware should I use to mount the Cable Tower to the wall?

If you’re anchoring the tower to a wall behind it, we recommend using Tapcon+ concrete screws.

What is the cable travel distance?

When using the plate loaded cable tower, the single cable travel is 113" (287 cm) and dual cable travel (using both sides at once) has a travel of 55.5" (140cm). When using the weight stack cable tower, the single cable travel is 90.5" (230 cm) and the double cable travel is 45.75" (121 cm).

What is the purpose of the back upright, and do I need it?

The back upright adds extra front-to-back stability, which is especially helpful if you’re bolting the Cable Tower to a rack or mounting it directly to the floor. It also opens up more setup options when connecting with a rack and adding accessories like plate storage or other rack-mounted attachments. If you’re mounting the tower directly to a wall, the back upright typically isn’t necessary since the wall provides the needed stability.

Can I buy the plate-loaded Cable Tower now and upgrade to the weight stack later?

No, due to the design of our Cable Towers, there is no option to create a conversion kit to upgrade from the plate-loaded version to the weight stack version.

What type of training is the Cable Tower best for?

The Cable Tower is ideal for hypertrophy, accessory work, and functional training. It supports exercises like face pulls, cable curls, triceps pushdowns, and glute kickbacks.

The Bells of Steel Cable Tower is a tall, black and silver machine with adjustable pulleys, weight stack, and single handle, designed for versatile strength training exercises.
